The Partner Manager builds and executes on our strategy to become the leading services company for data engineering, analytics and machine learning with the modern data stack. You’ll co-create a partner strategy for the market with phData leadership, which builds brand awareness, aligns sales and client teams with partners, such as Fivetran, AWS, dbt Labs, and Azure, and is a technology enthusiast through and through.

This is an exciting role that works with partners, sales, account teams, leadership, and global delivery teams. This role is at the center of where business, technology, and delivery overlap.

Pre-Sales Activities

  • Build strong, trusted relationships within phData's strategic partner ecosystem (including AWS, dbt, Fivetran, and Azure)
  • Educate partner sales teams on phData's capabilities and when/how to identify opportunities and position phData within customers
  • Generate sales pipeline through strategic partner relationships
  • Qualify and mature early-stage sales opportunities through partners
  • Work with sales and alliances leadership to co-create a strategic partner roadmap, including focused partnerships, account mappings, sales/revenue goals, marketing & event plans, and enablement strategies
  • Help identify opportunities to leverage partner funding and work with local market leaders to apply funds to new client opportunities
  • Support of local and global partner marketing events including conferences, sales kick-offs, QBRs, etc. (ability to travel nationally +/-25% annually)
  • Identify and promote emerging technologies to our internal Technology Council to ensure phData is educated on all major technologies that our customers may inquire about and evaluate for fit

Operations and Administration

  • Evangelize wins, both internally across phData, and externally with partners
  • Support practices in partner enablement for both sales and technical certifications for strategic partners
  • Proactively communicate with sales leadership on partner channel pipeline and forecasts
  • Own operational partnership tasks to ensure all data, systems, and reporting are up-to-date
  • Responsible for managing and reporting on the deal registration process 
  • Establish, manage, and scale our Tech Partner Team and technical SME representation 
  • Publish and catalog partner-won use cases 
  • Maintain partner portals for each strategic partner 
  • Ensure achievement of desired partner status with preferred partners

Relationship Management 

  • Foster and grow strong executive relationships between phData and your strategic partners.
  • Nurture internal relationships to further your partnership impact
  • Understand and be conversant on technology, strategic priorities, and partner programs. Bring a point of view and connect the dots on these topics to identify and drive growth opportunities for phData
  • Demonstrate ability to identify new Partnership solutions. Drive conversations around ecosystem development activities that include your strategic partners.
  • Manage all aspects of partner communications, in close collaboration with your technical SME counterparts. Ensure that key wins are recorded, tracked and communicated to the sales organization.
  • Work closely with the phData Marketing team to create a marketing plan that supports your partnership business objectives. Provide support and oversight to marketing campaign and event execution. Coordinate with colleagues to ensure collateral is up-to-date.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • 4+ years experience in an alliances role
  • Experience in the data engineering, analytics, or machine learning industries
  • Exceptional written communication skills and ability to synthesize complex information into clear and concise presentations and plans
  • Bias for action as this position is a central node for many teams and conversations throughout ours, and our partner’s organization
  • Direct experience with marketing launches and related activities including messaging/positioning (G2M for partners)
  • Cross-functional team management and organizational skills, influence without authority, including senior management
  • Analytical mindset, interpreting and synthesizing data with actionable insights
