Do you enjoy and excel at building health plan vendor partner relationships, analyzing business and financial performance, developing growth strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring vendors deliver operational standards and client satisfaction? If yes, this Partner Specialist role is the opportunity for you to make a difference for hundreds of employers based in WA, OR, ID, and UT. This is a critical role on our Product Management and Marketing Team and will focus on our pharmacy benefit solutions, consumer-directed health products.
What YOU will do:
  • Dig into financial, plan design, and contractual details and become the subject matter expert on your ecosystem of assigned partners and their complex products (pharmacy benefits and consumer directed health savings accounts).
  • Leverage your knowledge and expertise in these areas to help grow our business.
  • Develop great partner relationships ensuring our partners value our clients and members as much as we do.
  • Serve as the primary business contact for assigned partners. Communicate key partner product terms, conditions, pricing, programs, facilitate and conduct training for internal teams, clients, and brokers about assigned partners and their products.
  • Review, edit, approve, curate, and distribute partner marketing materials in partnership with our internal marketing and other teams.
  • Regularly track our business metrics related to partner performance and compliance with contractual terms, prepare and conduct business reviews, and hold vendor partners accountable.
  • Develop reporting and analytics as needed to support your careful financial management and tracking of partner performance.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders across the company (Account Management, Member Care, Analytics, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Client Success), gather their feedback on partner performance to address potential areas of concern before they become problems, and resolve escalations quickly and effectively.
  • Contribute toward the delivery of excellence as standard, working with partners, key stakeholders, and management to analyze the root cause of issues and make suggestions for process and customer experience improvements, reporting, invoicing, documentation, and communications.
  • Maintain documentation and records.
  • Project manage annual vendor audits in partnership with an independent audit firm and internal finance team.
  • May conduct RFPs and competitor/market research as needed.
  • May draft contracts or be asked to analyze and renegotiate contract terms or pricing.

Knowledge, Experience, and Key Attributes needed for Success:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably in Business, or Marketing.
  • 2-5 years developing vendor or partner relationships preferably with a PBM, or healthcare point solution, payer, insurer, administrator, brokerage, or consultancy.
  • 2-5 years financial or analytics experience preferably with a PBM, or healthcare point solution, payer, insurer, administrator, brokerage, or consultancy.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects simultaneously/
  • Vendor contract negotiation experience .
  • Genuine curiosity about health plan benefit design and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills .
  • Expert problem solving and organizational abilities .
  • Proven experience delivering results through others, both direct and matrixed. Ability to lead, develop, motivate and hold others accountable .
  • Mastery of MS Office Suite including PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook and Teams skills .
  • Prefer Dynamics or SalesForce and strong analytic tools experience in PowerBi .

Compensation:
The base salary range for this position in the greater Seattle area is $67,000- $87,000 and varies dependent on geography, skills, experience, education, and other job or market-related factors. Performance-based incentive bonus(es) is available.
