Partner Training Specialist
Job Description
PointCentral, a subsidiary company of Alarm.com, is looking for a Partner Training Specialist to join the Partner Education Team. The PE Team is responsible for developing and maintaining course content and providing training, internally and externally on all Alarm.com & PointCentral products & services. The ideal candidate is well versed in technology, well-spoken and enthusiastic, enjoys building business relationships, and excels in an ever-changing environment. Â
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with subject matter experts and instructional designers to maintain, develop, and facilitate course content
- Develop in-person training program for PointCentral customers
- Provide technical and sales training on the PointCentral product offering to partners virtually and in-person
- Scale and expand onboarding program for new partners and customers
- Perform needs assessment with internal & external stakeholders to determine ongoing training needs
- Create feedback loops from partners and customers on how we can improve our product and tools
- Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal teams to stay up to date with new PointCentral and Alarm.com product release features to properly respond to partner inquiries
- Create and develop webinars, video storyboards, PowerPoints, job aids, and assessments
- Execute vision of short-term and long-term training goals while communicating pertinent updates that impact the Internal and external stakeholders regularly
- Organize training and resource lists that are regularly updated with progress on goals and progress
- Up to 25% travel to engage with partners and provide trainings
- Special Projects, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of experience developing and delivering virtual & ILT content
- Knowledge of training methodologies and competency assessment
- Works effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment, across departments
- Effectively deals with ambiguity and takes action without every detail present
- Experience with Learning Management Systems and Webinar Platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for new technologies and working in fast moving markets
- Experience working with external clients, a plus
