With the launch of Ready to Hire, Cengage brings to employers new ways to recruit, train and hire entry-level talent through strategic, responsive talent pipeline solutions. Reporting to the Head of Partnerships on the Ready to Hire team, the Partnership Development Director plays an instrumental role in building partnerships with key organizations to grow the business by sourcing, scoping, negotiating, and closing new enterprise-level opportunities.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Strategize with division executives on specific vertical industry expertise.
  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships.
  • Implement an enterprise-level territory and sales plan to close business with corporate accounts that generate revenue from scaled implementations of Ready to Hire's portfolio of talent and upskilling solutions.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with high-level corporate contacts, key decision makers, and influencers at target organizations throughout the sales cycle.
  • Establish and navigate multiple buying criteria to gain consensus and agreement to Business Terms.
  • Develop and deliver effective, persuasive presentations and proposals to promote Ready to Hire services and business terms.
  • Structure and close corporate deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and accurately maintain pipeline/opportunity management, account/contact management and strategic documentation for new opportunities within a CRM.
  • Participate in various events to drive sales (i.e., industry events, trade shows, etc.).
  • Work across various Cengage teams (academic, workforce, etc.) to develop large-scale opportunities that build on existing and prospective Cengage relationships.

Skills You Will Need Here:

  • BA or equivalent experience
  • Highly-motivated, self-starter inspired to build a new division of our business
  • 10+ years of successful sales experience - with special preference given to executive level sales of learning products, staffing models, and/or workforce development solutions.
  • Strong understanding of corporate, HR and/or talent acquisition and development processes, timelines, and budget/revenue models
  • Ability to initiate, build and maintain positive relationships with C-level, senior, clinical, financial, and business operations managers through a highly consultative sales process.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical & presentation skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce & various virtual meeting tools

Base Pay Range

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

$84,400.00 - $135,000.00 USD
