Partnerships Manager for Subscription E-commerce Startup

Smartrr's product enables premium subscription experiences for direct-to-consumer e-commerce brands. Our mission is to redefine the e-commerce buyer's journey, first by help growing D-to-C brands deliver a customer-centric subscription and membership solution.

We soft-launched our app in April 2021 and have experienced massive growth entirely through organic, word-of-mouth channels. Now that we have a firm grasp on our product-market fit, we're looking to build strong relationships in the Shopify ecosystem by hiring an experienced and self-starting Partnerships Manager.

Working closely with Agency partners to drive mutual growth and opportunity, you will have dotted-line support from Partner Marketing and a close working relationship with our front-line Sales team. As a critical early hire, you will receive a sizable equity stake and help us define the future of our growing organization. Responsibilities include:
  • Own and manage a referral pipeline driven by ecommerce agency partnerships
  • Establish relationships with current agency partners and build relationships with new agency partners in an effort to expand our overall sales efforts.
  • Deliver and create assets that assist with selling Smartrr to the agency customer such as demos, lunch and learn, training materials, etc.
  • Attract and encourage agency partners to sign up as a Smartrr partner and drive referral leads.
  • Collaborate with marketing to establish a channel strategy that includes target partners, relationship strategy, incentives, revenue share strategy, sales process, contract standardization, systems and other metrics to deliver an accurate forecast to the Leadership Team.
  • Evaluate software and tools needed to help optimize our agency partner strategy.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience with a knack for building relationships.
  • You have relevant experience within the ecommerce agency partner landscape
  • You're no stranger to presenting and demoing tech products. You'd also feel confident in coaching and enabling partners to do the same.
  • You're intrinsically motivated and follow through on closing deals to help drive business and partner value.
  • You understand the importance of monitoring and growing your referral pipeline. (ie: Driving opportunities and profitability metrics to ensure customer happiness and high lifetime value.)
  • You feel comfortable in the tech space and have a talent for automation.
