Dessert Baker/Decorator We are looking for a Baker/Decorator to prepare different types of desserts , cookies, cakes and pies. Baker responsibilities include baking, decorating, taking customer orders, helping front of the house. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience as a Baker/Decorator and be able to use recipes and decorate cakes . All of our desserts are made in-house with quality ingredients and made from scratch. Responsibilities • starting work at 6:30 am • Clean kitchen equipment and tools before and after use • Bake different types of cakes, cookies, etc • Experience with weighing ingredients • Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies (e.g. chocolate ganache, caramel sauce and fruits) • Decorate cakes with glazes, icings, buttercream and edible toppings, like flowers • Prepare custom-made pastries based on customers’ preferences (e.g. birthday cakes) • Track food supplies and place orders, as needed Skills • Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role • Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders • Understanding of food safety practices • Experience with cake decorating techniques • Excellent time-management skills • Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment • Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude • Able to work in early morning shifts • Food Handlers Card Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Compensation Package: • Tips Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Weekends as needed People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Experience: • Baking: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: • Food Handlers Card (Required) Shift availability: • Day Shift (Required) Work Location: In person
