Pastry Chef

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team led by RJ Yoakum. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry production and baking, with a flair for creativity and presentation. This role involves preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods while adhering to food safety standards and maintaining high-quality culinary practices. We have a Butcher Shop which features "grab and go" pastries along with production for our dinner service. Duties • Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards. • Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, ensuring visual appeal for customer satisfaction. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. • Follow food safety regulations to ensure the highest quality of products is maintained. • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate production schedules for catering events or special orders. • Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient supplies and placing orders as necessary. • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients regarding custom orders or special requests. Experience • Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a culinary environment. • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to pastry production, including baking and cake decorating. • Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in food production. • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using various kitchen equipment. • Previous experience in catering is a plus, showcasing versatility in menu planning and execution. • Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients and team members.
