This Patient Access Representative opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule. This position is at our Free Standng Emergency Department. (7am-7pm -Wednesday -Friday ) in Spanish Springs. You will arrange for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients, outpatients and emergency department admissions. Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer database. Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Responsible for obtaining all pertinent information including demographic and insurance information.
* Responsible for obtaining signatures on Conditions of Admission and C-4s when necessary.
* Provides information to the patient/representative about billing, complaint process, patient rights, HIPAA and visiting hours.
* Prior insurance authorizations are obtained within specified time limits.

Qualifications
Requirements:
* High School graduate or equivalent
* Healthcare experience preferred
* Patient registration experience preferred
