Patient Collector

CO Salary Range: USD 18.00 - 19.00 per hour

Position: Patient Collector
Pay Range: $18-$19
Location: Estes Park, CO

Description: The Patient Collector will manage billing inquiries from patients by phone, email or walk-in, and assist with patient questions. They will explain payment options to patients to assist the patient in arranging payment for their account, and will also work closely with the financial counseling team and pre-access services regarding self-pay balances.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of medical insurance and benefits experience, ideally someone from a self-pay or collections background
• Has knowledge of insurance plans such as commercial plans, Medicare, Medicaid and other programs to be able to explain benefits and provide information to patients.
• Experience speaking with patients about their bills and payments
• Experience collecting payments from patients.
• Has some knowledge of financial assistance programs available such as Medicaid, CICP or the EPH Financial Assistance program
