Payments Associate

Accurately applies and posts funds received for A/R Financing client accounts. Works closely with others on the Payments Team and in the A/R Financing group to investigate and resolve issues pertaining to the application of funds to invoices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately applies and posts transactions in the form of checks, wires and ACH
• Provides outstanding customer service internally and to clients/debtors
• Performs daily balancing and end of day processes
• Analyzes assigned processes and suggests ways to improve efficiency
• Other additional duties as assigned to payment processing, unapplied cash, adjustments
• Meets required accuracy standards and posting goals.
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Data Entry or 6 months of banking experience required
• Proficiency in the Payments Associate role within one year or more experience, meeting or exceeding accuracy standards or the equivalent experience working in a financial services setting or a commercial lending environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Strong Excel, PC & 10 key skills
• High attention to detail; able to prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong problem solving skills; results oriented
• Familiar with A/R Financing processes and client expectations
