This position performs a variety of accounting related activities including monthly payroll account reconciliations for our US Payroll. Processes monthly payroll for Canada (including annual reporting), Spain and France.

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly payroll account reconciliations. Prepare journal entries when required. Liaison between payroll and finance.
  • Play the lead role for payroll audits working with internal and external auditors.
  • Responsible for daily posting validations between Workday and SAP.
  • Responsible for the accurate preparation and documentation of the monthly Canada, Spain and France payroll
  • Responsible for ADP daily wire confirmations, understand federal and state tax requirements and work within ADP Smart Compliance - Wage payments, Wage garnishments & Wisely Now.
  • Social Security verifications.
  • Weekly WOTC tax credits.
  • Month end journal entries.
  • Serve as a backup for the Payroll Tax Analyst preparing and timely filing and reconciliation of required tax filings and other reporting.
  • Month end reporting.
  • Provide Payroll information for Census and Bureau of Labor Statistics reporting.
  • Work closely with HR Analysts to ensure Workday is configured based on Finance requirements.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, ongoing innovations, best practices, and standardization. Create / update payroll process and resource documents, test system enhancements and upgrades including regression testing if needed.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Associate degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Level I Analyst: 1-3 years payroll/accounting experience
  • Level II Analyst: 3+ years payroll/accounting experience
  • Ability to process, interpret, and analyze a variety of figures.
  • Critical thinking
  • Attention to detail, high integrity and sound judgement required
  • Workday, ADP Smart Compliance & SAP experience strongly preferred
  • MS Office experience including Excel required
  • Organization, interpersonal, writing skills required
  • Team player with continuous improvement focus
