We are seeking an outgoing, hardworking individual who is able work in a fast-paced environment and is able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Must be a goal-oriented, high energy and hardworking individual to fill our Payroll Administrator Position. The selected candidate will be responsible for processing all aspects of the bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for approximately 1,800+ employees.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process and audit bi-weekly payroll for 1,800+ employees timely and accurately
  • Process onboarding new hire paperwork into ADP
  • Attend and present payroll slides at new hire orientation
  • Respond to inquiries from employee and managers in a timely and professional manner
  • Reviews employee information to ensure accurate flow of information from Oracle to ADP
  • Process terminations timely and accurately based on the individual state final paycheck law
  • Manage garnishments and levies according to State and Federal guidelines
  • Work closely with the Benefits team regarding leave of absences.
  • Prepare funding and reporting for 401k contributions
  • Provide reporting support for various business partners such as HR, Legal and Finance as requested
  • Update payroll records by reviewing changes in tax exemptions, direct deposit information, and other applicable data
  • Ability to work with highly confidential information and exercise extreme discretion
  • Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements
  • Participate in various audits for Workers Compensation, 401k and Payroll
  • Assists in special projects as needed

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Two or more years' experience in payroll or related area
  • Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability
  • Working knowledge of state and federal wage tax laws
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook (VLOOKUP's and pivot tables)
  • Prior experience with payroll processing software. Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus but willing to train on current software platforms (Oracle and ADP WFN)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
