Role Summary
Under the supervision of the Assistant Controller, the Payroll Administrator coordinates the division's hourly and salary (non-management employees' payroll, and other related payroll and accounting projects.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares payroll schedules and coordinates with ADP, banking systems and company holiday schedules.
  • Maintains all Payroll database systems (ADP and E-Time) and coordinates upgrades and changes with MSD's IT department, software company and/or Payroll Company.
  • Pulls electronic time clock data (E-time software) weekly; reviews for completeness and accuracy; and contacts supervisors regarding missing/inaccurate data.
  • Processes weekly transfer of payroll data to ADP; ensures database is accurate and reflects all changes as communicated from Human Resources.
  • Maintains and verifies time sheets from salaried non-exempt employees.
  • Maintains and verifies overtime hours for hourly and non-management salaried employees.
  • Calculates and processes all wage assignments, garnishments, tax liens, and child support payments and ensures payments are made to proper authorities on a timely basis to avoid penalties.
  • Verifies 401 (k) and flexible spending account reports and ensures accurate reporting to the appropriate administration groups.
  • Process employees' expense reports and educational assistance pay
  • Confirms payroll tax payments are processed in a timely fashion. Verifies state and local income tax depositions provided from ADP.

Key Qualifications/Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of ADP payroll experience in a high-volume manufacturing facility

  • Flexible and adaptable to learning new software, processes, programs, etc.
