The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This role requires a deep understanding of payroll laws, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll systems and a strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Process semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Manage employee timekeeping records, ensuring data accuracy and timely submission.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Process employee benefits deductions, and garnishments changes in payroll.
  • Maintain payroll records and reports, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data retention policies.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, and deductions.
  • Stay up-to-date with current payroll tax laws and regulations, making necessary adjustments to payroll practices as needed.
  • Assist HR with onboarding and offboarding tasks, such as processing new hire paperwork and handling documentation for employee terminations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll procedures, tax laws, and best practices.
  • Experience with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, discernment, and empathy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Or 4+ years of payroll experience.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll and benefits administration.
  • Must be within driving distance of the office, as this is an onsite position.

Wage Range DOE: $28.60 - $32.20
