Payroll Administrator "Texas -Remote"

We have an opportunity for a self-driven, high energy Payroll Administrator that is in Texas - Remote and possesses a can-do attitude. This individual will report to the Head of HR Operations and will have ownership in; computing, withholding and deductions associated with net earnings, payroll reconciliation of tax filing and employee earnings. To ensure success, the ideal candidate will provide a demonstrated expertise with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the payroll function.
You will be responsible for:
Payroll (70%)
- Bi-weekly multistate Payroll processing, which may also include supporting international payroll
- Performs tasks to establish and maintain employee/payroll records
- Checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance
- Calculation and recording payroll deductions
- Processing terminations
- Work with payroll provider on system issues
- Process involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments
- Payroll liaison with Finance Accounting Team
- Documenting and updating payroll process and procedures
- Prepare documents for both internal and external audits
- Processing bonuses annually and for incentive programs
- Manages employee referral program payments
- Tax calculations for Stock transactions
Federal and State Tax Administration (20%)
- Manage payroll tax activities including compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Manage audits for quarterly and annual federal tax returns
- W-2 administration
Projects (10%)
- Participate and/or lead various HR initiatives
We will look for:
- Bi-weekly payroll processing for multi-state company experience required
- Workday Payroll System or other third-party administrator experience
- Payroll General Ledger experience
- 3+ years of demonstrated payroll practice and experience
- Multi-tasking of special projects with ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills
- Strong, clear communication and interpersonal skills with all management levels
