Payroll Analyst

What will you do at Nomad?

You will be Nomad's dedicated Payroll Analyst with an opportunity to make an immediate impact on a fast growing healthcare technology company. In addition to the specific tasks, you will be asked to think creatively and improve processes in order for us to scale. We don't want someone to simply check the boxes, we want them to create new ones and make us better.

Your role will be a mix of responsibilities which include payroll & timesheet management, along with other support functions. More details on each responsibility is below. Please be advised that the working hours for this role will be nights and weekends (1-9pm PST Saturday - Wednesday).

Responsibilities:

Payroll & Timesheet Management

•   Review time and attendance records for accuracy
•   Assist with data upload or input for processing payroll

• Assist workflow to ensure timely processing of payroll
•   Act as liaison between Company, employees, payroll provider and benefits provider
•   Process state mandated garnishmentsAssist in calculating benefits deductions
•   Produce reports as needed for billing, accounting and finance

Support Functions

• Research, respond and help resolve all payroll matters, enquiries and errors escalated by team or by employees.
• Assist with any payroll data changes and input
• Conduct regular checks on records to ensure completeness of records and correct information flows into payroll software
• Follow policies and procedures; develop and/or recommend new or revised procedures for improving the overall efficiency of the payroll function
• Assist with resolutions and follow-up of support tickets with payroll provider
• Perform other duties and special projects as requested
• Liaise and communicate with other teams as necessary

Who are you?

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 2+ years of experience in processing payroll
• Hands-on experience with payroll softwares and multi-state payroll environment
• High proficiency with spreadsheets
• Work under tight deadlines
• You're detail oriented: You obsess over the details of a contract, and ensure accuracy down to the tenth of an hour
• You have demonstrable ability to prioritize: You intake the needs of your constituents, ask questions, and prioritize accordingly
• You possess a high degree of professionalism: You will interact daily with the employees we aim to delight
• You have initiative: You don't just identify challenges, you overcome them and present the solution
