Job Description

Verisign enables the security, stability, and resiliency of key internet infrastructure and services, including providing root zone maintainer services, operating two of the 13 global internet root servers, and providing registration services and authoritative resolution for the .com and .net top-level domains, which support the majority of global e-commerce.

The Payroll Analyst processes Verisign's payrolls and compiles and audits payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records.

Key Responsibilities      

  • Maintains payroll records for Verisign employees in the Verisign payroll system; updates and validates all changes in pay rates, benefits/ deductions, banking information and tax withholding information.    
  • Ensures that the current payroll information is submitted to Verisign's outsourced payroll vendor accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Runs and distributes pay cycle reports to cross-functional business partners
  • Responds to employee payroll inquiries.
  • May assist with reconciling payroll deposits, tax withholdings, wage garnishments and voluntary deductions.

Education and Experience

  • High School or GED required
  • 5 years of payroll and related experience, required

Required Skills

  • Good understanding of payroll principles, practices, regulations, and procedures
  • Strong communicator with customer service experience and excellent attention to detail 
  • Accomplished in operating a PC and using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel

Preferred Skills

  • General knowledge of accounting and understanding of the general ledger accounts
