Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our team in Minnesota. This individual will provide advanced subject matter expertise to our Payroll Support Team to ensure all aspects of the payroll function operates smoothly and efficiently.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Payroll Analyst, you will:

  • Resolve complex payroll queries with employees and stakeholders using advanced oral and written communication skills; English fluency is required; fluency in other languages may be required depending on region and role.
  • Assist payroll analysts in United States.
  • Create metrics and stakeholder presentations using advanced PowerPoint skills.
  • Have a thorough understanding of international assignees and payroll nuances.
  • Reconcile 3rd party payments.
  • Resolve complex general ledger issues using advanced Excel skills.
  • Provide data and assist with all audits.
  • Assist with documentation for payroll team.
  • Act as subject matter expert on payroll and statutory requirements in multiple countries and regional specific items.
  • Lead special projects as required and provides stakeholder documentation.
  • Monitor workflow, team assignments, processing deadline for payroll day-to-day operations.
  • Work with 3rd party vendor to validate payroll calculations of wages, tax withholding and deductions for domestic employees and on internal assignments.
  • Review, reconcile and signoff payrolls during bi-weekly and monthly cycles.
  • Provide direction and assistance to Payroll provider, HR Operations/Benefits/Rewards, Payroll Accounting and Corporate Tax departments.
  • Coordinate and develop documentation regarding payroll procedures.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Payroll Analyst if your background includes:

  • 5+ years of experience with Payroll Operations, Tax Withholding/Filing and Compliance/Regulatory.
  • Education - minimum of High School Diploma (ideally some college and/or Payroll Certification courses)
  • Experience with Federal & State Payroll taxes laws, including multi-state tax allocations.
  • Strong with Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Detailed-oriented
  • Experience with Workday Payroll processing
