We are currently seeking a Payroll Analyst in our Accounting team reporting to the Payroll Manager.

JOB SUMMARY

Position supports the Payroll group by providing assistance with payroll entry and validation, as well as assisting with the distribution of reports. Assists team with administrative duties on an as needed basis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides processing support to the Payroll team; validating changes and making updates to employee information in ADP Vantage, printing and reviewing audit reports.
• Process bi-weekly multi-state payrolls for 1,200 employees (including exempt, non-exempt and temp/interns).
• Validate day to day changes from HR (Workday) in ADP Vantage and ensure the applicable updates are made to employee information (new hires, job changes, leaves, terms).
• Issue stop payments/ direct deposit reversals as necessary. Initiate manual checks and wires as needed based on state, local and federal tax regulations.
• Process various one-time payments (severance, retro, bonuses, commissions, etc.) based on company policies and HR instruction.
• Process employee garnishment/ liens/ court orders based on state, local and federal withholding laws.
• Prepares final review packages and ensures accuracy and completeness of payroll transaction.
• Assists the payroll department with the biweekly distribution of payroll reports to Directors and Executives.
• Provides Vantage TIME support; running and reviewing audit reports, helping to obtain timecard approvals and assisting with timecard edits.
• Assists with inquiries made to the Payroll support line (from internal and external sources) and email inbox, as well as handling communications received by mail.
• Prepares correspondence, memos, reports and presentations as needed for the department.
• Participates in ad hoc projects and provides back-up support for the department as determined by needs.
• Provides all other administrative support as needed; including answering phones, filing, ordering supplies and opening mail.
• Assists with researching and analyzing legislative changes pertaining to retirement, health benefits and transit benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required and Preferred)

• 1-3+ years payroll experience required.
• Knowledge of ADP Vantage or ADP PayForce required.
• Ability to establish relationships within all levels of the company.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and follow-up and resolve outstanding issues.
• Make decisions with minimal supervisory assistance,
• Be detail oriented and possess solid organizational and analytical skills.
• This position demands proper business phone etiquette and solid verbal and written communications skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Office required.

The base compensation range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000 commensurate with experience.
