What You Will Do
As the Payroll and Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration and management of all payroll and benefit activities. You’ll serve as the "go-to" resource and will work with a spirit of service and enthusiasm. You are outgoing, personable, highly organized and the type of person who takes ownership and consistently looks for ways to improve efficiency and productivity.
How You Will Spend Your Days
- Serve as the main point of contact for employees in all matters related to payroll and benefits
- Responsible for the daily payroll operations in preparation for two pay dates per month for a team of salaried and hourly employees
- Reconcile payroll prior to processing to ensure all changes have been captured
- Manage time and attendance records processing and interface with payroll
- Process accurate and timely per payroll, quarterly and yearly reporting in conjunction with the payroll and benefits providers
- Ensure the timely review, reconciliation and submission for payment of all benefit and payroll invoices
- Coordinate with finance on reporting, tax and other needs
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal and other rules and regulations governing with compensation and benefits programs
- Coordinate leaves of absence with vendors for paid benefits
- Act as the point of contact for all HRIS systems questions, updates and training
- Participates in department and company meetings as needed
What You Bring to This Role
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- 3 – 6 years’ experience processing multi-state payrolls, including taxation, withholding orders and garnishments
- Payroll system(s) experience
- Prior experience adding to headcount or integrating or merging additional payrolls preferred, but not required
- Comfortable working with multiple vendor contacts, team members and auditors as needed
- An understanding of automated file transfers and vendor feed files
- Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change and deliver under the pressure of multiple deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data, exhibiting the highest sense of integrity
Compensation for this position includes an annual base salary of approximately $80,000, and eligibility for annual bonus.
