How You Will Make an Impact

As the Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the payroll process, oversee leave administration, open enrollment, and tax registration, ensuring compliance with regulations. 

This role will be based onsite at our Headquarters in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities:
  • Owns end-to-end payroll process across 4 entities for both exempt and non-exempt rotational employees
  • Process monthly, quarterly, and annual bonuses, commissions, and out-of-cycle payrolls
  • Process all new hires in to HRIS
  • Oversee the administration of leaves including FMLA, STD/LTD, and Military
  • End-to-end open enrollment administration
  • Complete general ledger and work with accounting team to reconcile discrepancies
  • Quarterly and year-end balancing and reconciliations
  • Year-end distribution of W2’s
  • Audit and resolve cost issues for all payroll and benefit items
  • Compile information and complete audits to ensure HRIS, payroll, and benefit accuracy
  • Process and maintain all tax registrations in payroll system
  • Audits time and attendance system for integrity
  • Process all unique employee information; W4’s, pay changes, retirement deferrals and loans, promotions, transfers between entities and terminations in payroll system
  • Process garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and all other income withholding orders as directed.
  • Process health, welfare, and retirement enrollments, terminations and premiums according to federal, state and local regulations and company policy
  • Create and compile ad hoc reports as needed
  • Facilitate process improvement across payroll and benefit functions
  • Main point of contact for addressing employee's payroll and benefits related questions
Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with UKG (UltiPro) is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with payroll and benefit administration
  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local regulations
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
