Job Summary:
MycoWorks is seeking a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll across multiple states within the manufacturing industry. The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will be responsible for processing semi-monthly multi-state payroll in ADP WorkforceNow, maintaining payroll records, statutory reporting and supporting compensations programs at MycoWorks and serve as the primary point person for benefits administration and Open Enrollment through our PEO model.Â
Responsibilities:
- Manage timecard review, auditing and preparation of reports for scheduled semi-monthly payroll within ADP WorkforceNow to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery for domestic employees
- Creation and maintenance of folders for each payroll run including supporting documentation and manual reconciliation reports
- Serves as point person for benefits administration, benefit inquiries, Open Enrollment, and leave administration through our PEO model with ADP
- Support the implementation of scalable coding systems for departments, locations, job titles, etc. within HRISÂ
- Support administration of internal change forms and compensation letters. Perform regular audits on change forms and compensation cycle documentation
- Manage administration of payroll-related changes within HRIS system
- Serve as the primary point of contact with ADP’s payroll support team. Properly escalate cases with ADP and ADP’s payroll specialists to ensure closure of all outstanding cases and support requests
- Regularly review timecards for non-exempt employees to ensure timecard completion and compliance with local employment laws and MycoWorks’ company policiesÂ
- Provide administrative support for Time and Labor Management Systems within ADP for Shift Worker populations
- Process offboarding payments and ad hoc payments, as needed
- Ensure all taxable fringe benefits are captured and reported accordinglyÂ
- Support training of Time and Labor Management, including relevant local employment laws and MycoWorks’ policies, for new hires and new supervisors at MycoWorks
- Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
- Support the processing of statutory compliance reporting (EEO-1, CA Pay Data Reporting, ACA) and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, 1095’s etc.)
- Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits, and all other workers’ compensation audits
Must Haves (i.e. Basic Qualifications)
- Strong understanding of payroll processing and People Operations/HR processes with five plus years of experience in payroll processing (preferably within the manufacturing industry)
- Strong understanding of multi-state employment law and other government compliance regulations that impact payroll reporting
- Expertise in systems including ADP WorkForceNow, G Suite and the demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technology
- Proven planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks
- Results-driven and comfortable working through ambiguous scenarios in order to find solutions with the ability to work independently
- Ability to work onsite at our offices in Union, SC at least three days per week. Must be onsite on payroll processing days.Â
