Accountabilities:

  • Support day-to-day payroll operations for employees under Australian payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in processing payroll data accurately and within established payroll cycles and deadlines.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring all information remains accurate and confidential.
  • Verify and reconcile payroll-related data, including salaries, working hours, deductions, and other compensation details.
  • Assist with payroll tax calculations, statutory deductions, and filing activities in compliance with Australian regulations.
  • Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries and provide timely support regarding payroll matters and discrepancies.
  • Support payroll audits, reporting activities, and documentation processes to ensure operational accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve payroll processes, data consistency, and service quality.
  • Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
    • 1–3 years of experience in an Australian payroll support or payroll operations role.
    • Basic understanding of Australian payroll regulations, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements.
    • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data handling and payroll processing.
    • Good organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage recurring deadlines effectively.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee and payroll information responsibly.
    • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with payroll or HR systems is preferred.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service-oriented approach.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote and globally distributed work environment.
