The Payroll Coordinator performs a variety of professional payroll tasks related to payroll cycle processing and making sure that a company's employees are paid correctly and accurately each pay period. They work closely with our employees and our partners in human resources, finance and accounting departments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for payroll of 2500-3000 employees for bi-weekly period
  • Prepare manual calculations and create ad hoc requests for terminations or adjustments
  • Prepare and process non-exempt and exempt bi-weekly payroll
  • Prepare and process garnishments
  • Produce Workday Report reports to support payroll, human resources, and finance teams
  • Calculate new hire pay, termination pay, and any required adjustment to normal pay
  • Process bonuses and commissions as requested
  • Ensure that computing, withholding, and deductions are done correctly
  • Must maintain solid knowledge of wage and hour laws
  • Work closely with all employees and leadership
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years payroll processing experience supporting 500+ employees
  • Intermediate experience in Excel and Word
  • Comfortable with computer applications
  • Ability to multitask through a variety of situations and projects
  • Strict confidentiality

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Certified payroll professional and/or SHRM certification
  • Proficient in payroll systems (i.e. Workday, ADP Workforce Now, Cerdian, Paychex, Ultipro)
  • Ability to multitask across multiple systems
  • Detail oriented

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
