The Opportunity
Center for Employment Opportunities is actively seeking a motivated and experienced Full-Time Payroll Coordinator to process and verify payroll information on a timely basis while maintaining payroll records and ensuring that employee time is reported and processed accurately in the preparation of payroll paycards and direct deposit vouchers.

Who We Are
The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) provides employment services to people with recent criminal convictions. Across the United States, over 6,000 people participate in CEO each year, transitioning to employment that supports themselves, their families, and their communities.
What began as a demonstration project of the Vera Institute of Justice in the 1970s to address employment barriers facing the formerly incarcerated following release in New York City has grown into the leading reentry employment organization in the country, where over 25,000 formerly incarcerated individuals have secured full-time employment since 1996. In 2016, CEO embarked on a 5-year strategic plan to grow to serve 9,000 participants annually.Â

- You have understanding of and commitment to maintaining current knowledge of industry trends, concepts, products, practices, and financial arrangement
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Key responsibilities of the (title) include but are not limited to:
- Consistently, and accurately process “daily” payroll for 600+ employees on schedule for multiple entities across different states
- Review, audit, and export employee scheduled hours, new hire, and changes data from Salesforce system and import it into the ADP Workforce Now payroll system
- Process and pay daily Rapid Rewards, Stipends, and Incentives payments to employees
- Process paycard/direct deposit payments
- Process employment verifications
- Process and update tax-exempt W4 submitted by employees in ADP Workforce Now payroll system
- Process daily Netspend (Skylight) paycard enrollments
- Updating Netspend (Skylight) paycard Wage Statement Portal daily, to ensure employee pay statements are available when needed
- Resolve pay card enrollment errors such as incorrect date of birth, address, social security numbers, incorrect account numbers provided, and employee’s name
- Work with Participant Scheduling Department to resolve pay discrepancies
- Researches and resolves questions from managers and employees as they relate to the processing of payroll information including sick pay, banking, garnishments, retroactive pay calculations, tax questions, and other changes submitted via Cases in Salesforce system
- Assist the finance department to prepare and record monthly payroll general entries
- Review and ensure the accuracy of all year-end statements including W2 statements
- Preparing financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes
- Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management
- Participate as project manager or team member on various projects as needed
Compensation and Benefits Â
The salary for this position is $44,100 to $50,090 annually. CEO's compensation philosophy considers a variety of factors including experience, internal equity, and the labor market associated with the city in which the position is located. The labor markets associated with the cities in which CEO is based are variable, and the salary range included here reflects this. Our salary offer will fall within this range and will be reflective of the labor market of the city in which the position is based, as well the other factors named above.Â
