Job Description

As our Payroll Coordinator, you will manage payroll for Multi Media and its subsidiaries, so we can make sure our employees are happy and well taken care of! In this role, you will prepare and process payroll weekly for 400+ plus employees, across various industries with differing pay structures and regulations. You will also assist employees with payroll-related questions and concerns! To thrive in this role, you must have the highest attention to detail, ensuring that any mistakes are kept to an absolute minimum.

This is a hybrid role, so travel to our Miami office will be required on a semi-regular basis. At the beginning of your tenure, you’ll come in approximately 2 days per week for training and an early connection with the team, then as needed for specific projects or meetings.

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate and process 400+ employee payroll weekly.
  • Review and prepare employee timesheets, attendance, and other payroll documentation.
  • Maintain payroll system up-to-date and accurate.
  • Review payroll arrangements and tax filings for new employees.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across multi-state jurisdictions.
  • Verify payroll reports to confirm accuracy prior to initiating transactions.
  • Respond to all payroll-related queries both internally and externally.
  • Generating and preparing ad-hoc reports as needed by HR team.

Skills you already have:

  • You've worked in small and mid-sized companies on existing payroll with employees in multiple states & countries (specifically the US & Canada).
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll ordinances.
  • You’ll be working with people’s very personal information, so the utmost confidentiality is a MUST!
  • You are an Excel expert.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting procedure and best practices.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor & great communication skills to make it easy for employees to come to you with their questions.
