Because People Matter. BPM is looking for a Payroll Lead to join our Finance / Accounting team. The position will report to the Payroll Manager. This position will involve all aspects of the payroll function within the Firm including payroll tax set-up and compliance payroll reporting payroll auditing reconciling project support. This position will also include back-up to the payroll processing team which will include preparation distribution and processing.

You Will
-
Quarterly and Annual compliance audits such as 941 reconciliations 5500 audits internal and external audits. Working closely with HR and Benefits.

Audit bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls prior to completion and assist in trouble shooting of errors and corrections.

Reconcile bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for accounting team and various venders.

Support the team as a back-up for process semi-monthly payroll including reviewing validating to ensure accurate payroll payments reporting and records.

Ensure compliance with US Federal and State and Canada Federal and Provincial laws regarding overtime meal breaks minimum wage FLSA and final pay at terminations.

Resolve escalated employee payroll issues to ensure compliance with company policy state and federal regulations.

Respond to escalated employee inquiries that require detailed explanation or interpretation using extensive knowledge of established guidelines policies and procedures.

Work cohesively and closely with the Human Resources and Benefits Departments.

Perform other assignments and special projects as requested.
You Have
-
5+ years of progressive payroll experience in a corporate environment with 500+ employees in multiple US States.

3+ years of payroll auditing and reconciling
-
3+ years of UKG Pro payroll experience.
-
5+ years of Payroll Tax set-up and compliance (multi-states).
-
UKG modules implementation is a plus.

Canada payroll processing is a plus.

BS/BA Degree preferred.

Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Possess analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Be customer service oriented and highly organized.

Ability to work under pressure and be deadline-driven.

Possess a collaborative work style while being equally able to operate independently.

Ability to take direction and function as a team player.

Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
$90000 - $95000 a year
The salary range provided is intended for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area who meet the minimum requirements of the position. Candidates who do not reside in the San Francisco Bay Area do not meet the minimum requirements or exceed the requirements are encouraged to apply and a recruiter will provide you with a range specific to your location and qualifications.
