Payroll Manager

Mo money, mo problems? We don't think so! Power Design is looking for a Payroll Manager who has their mind on our money and our money on their mind. The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Payroll team, including the management of biweekly pay schedules. In this role, you will be a critical component in ensuring that Power Design's payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner.

position details/responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinator activities of the payroll staff
• Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements
• Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
• Direct the preparation of payroll related documents
• Oversee compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements
• Compile data from payroll sources
• Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports
• Review and improve payroll policies and procedures
• Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
• Interpret new legislation impacting payroll

here's what we're looking for
• At least 5-7 years of relevant experience processing high-volume, multi-state payroll
• 3-5 years of managerial or supervisory experience in payroll
• High school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's or Associate's degree is preferred
• Certified Payroll Professional designation preferred
• Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal rules and laws
• Proficiency in Workday preferred, but not required
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Must be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
