Summary:

The position will report to the Head of Total Rewards and have strategic ownership of the US payroll function and processes. This is a hands-on, independent role with a focus on operational excellence and efficiency. This person will collaborate with HR Operations and Finance to develop and optimize all payroll-related processes and reporting to accompany the company’s continued growth.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations for the US Payroll function.
• Manage and define future US Payroll strategy, policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal tax and wage laws
• Assist mobility team by providing counsel on tax and best practices for short-term and long-term assignments under the company’s mobility policy
• Partner with HR Operations, Finance, and other key staheholders on
• Define and maintain appropriate controls requirements; respond to audit, SOX-related requests

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field of study preferred
• 10+ years of hands-on US payroll experience, with 5+ years owning the US payroll function and processes for a mid-size organization
• Prior experience partnering with HR and Finance on global mobility 
• Strong knowledge of current (upcoming) wage laws, tax laws, etc.
• Demonstrated expertise with Workday payroll required
• Advanced Excel skills (v-lookups, macros, etc.)
• Strong analytical and math skills
• Experience working with multi-state payroll, with non-exempt employee populations
• Certified Payroll Professional or similar certifications preferred
