Payroll Manager
Job Description

Tacombi is looking for a Bilingual Payroll and Compliance Manager to join our growing People Team!
As the Payroll Manager, you will be an integral part of the Tacombi People Department, overseeing the most important part of the People function: making sure all Tacombi and Vista Hermosa employees are paid accurately and on time. Tacombi and Vista Hermosa currently employ team members in fifteen locations across five states, and we’re continuing to expand! So, experience with complex payrolls across multiple states is a must have.Â
What you’ll do…Â
Payroll and tax Compliance                    Â
- Oversee weekly payroll submission in ADP, including verifying time keeping records
- Payroll registration and tax compliance for new states and jurisdictions
- Ensure accuracy in tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, etcÂ
- Ensure accuracy in benefits, 401k and other payroll deductions
- Manage and maintain the configuration of the time & attendance software (7Shifts) to ensure compliance with corresponding jurisdictions
System administration and employee data maintenance
- Maintain ADP WorkforceNow with all new employees, terminations, salary adjustments, changes to deductions or garnishments and tax selectionÂ
- Maintain employee data in ADP Retirement portalÂ
- Review new hire onboarding paperwork and update corresponding systems, as needed
- Ensure proper set-up of leave policies in payroll system and accuracy of time off and leaves of absence paymentsÂ
- Maintain proper pay groups, earnings codes and deduction codesÂ
- Ensure an accurate and timely period end processing by payroll system as well as year-end reporting (940s, 941s, W-2s, etc)
Internal Communication and Support
- Communicate and execute company-wide payroll policies and initiativesÂ
- Recognize sensitivity of information and use thoughtful discretion
- Provide payroll support and training for unit-level manager
- Respond to employee payroll inquiriesÂ
Other Duties and Ad hoc Projects
- Assist with implementation of company-wide payroll initiatives
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as needed
- Respond to Unemployment claims received from PeopleSoft
You should have
- Extensive experience in payroll processing, payroll systems and oversight in the hospitality industryÂ
- Experience with complex, multi-unit, multi-state payrollÂ
- Experience with ADP Payroll, ADP WorkforceNow and ADP Retirement platforms
- Familiarity with payroll, wage, labor and tax compliance at federal, state and local levelsÂ
- A high attention to detail and well organized
- Strong communication skills; including fluently bi-lingual in English and Spanish
- A commitment to the highest integrity and professional business standards
- A passion for helping others
- The ability to work from our NYC office 3-5 days a week
- Most importantly, you have a love for tacos :)
Compensation range: $85k-105k annual salary, depending on experience and expertise in the field.Â
