Payroll Specialist

Job Description

Copart is seeking a Payroll Specialist for the Dallas Headquarters office to maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data using ADP software. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Process bi-weekly payroll for North America.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Process garnishments.
• Audit employee time cards.
• Complete federal/state-required reporting.
• Compliance with each state's varying labor laws
• Audit/ process employee events such as new hires, salary changes, terminations, etc.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

• 2+ years in Payroll processing experience
• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Fast learner with strong fundamental skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Ability to multi-task and work in a time-sensitive, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Problem-solving skills
• 4-year degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Prior experience in a Human Resources preferred
• ADP-EV5 or Eetime experience a plus
