Payroll Specialist

About the role

Klaviyo is looking for a Payroll Specialist who will be an important contributor to our Global Payroll team. This role will support our global payroll initiatives as we continue a period of hyper growth. This position will collaborate with internal and external business partners to process global payroll to ensure compliance, accuracy and efficiency.

How you’ll have an impact

• Processing of multi-state, high volume (~1,500) US payrolls for hourly and salary employees (including off-cycles and other ad hoc payments) 
• Prepare payroll auditing files for processing and balancing 
• Administer and maintain time tracking in Workday to ensure accuracy before every payroll run 
• Support the team in managing the payroll ticketing system by providing customer service to employees and stakeholder inquiries 
• Cross train on all global payrolls 
• Provide support to the global payroll team, by assisting with miscellaneous tasks and projects 
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation 
• Act as a liaison with other business functions such as PeopleTech, People Operations HRBPs and Finance
• Assist with quarterly and year end tax reconciling

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of US payroll processing, can thrive in a fast-paced, high growth organization 
• In-house processing with Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking experience preferred, but not required 
• Basic understanding of multi-state payroll taxes and regulations 
• Ability to multi-task & troubleshoot
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with employee queries and data 
• Work effectively as an individual and as a global payroll team member 
• Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft and GSuite applications
