Job Description

Verisk is seeking a Payroll Specialist to oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing for our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll administration, including but not limited to payroll processing, tax compliance and statutory reporting.

Core Responsibilities

• Verify and control payroll process to ensure timely, accurate and compliant process alignment with local legislation.
• Review and coordinate data submitted by HR.
• Liaise with payroll vendors to ensure the processing of payrolls.
• Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees
• Complete statutory filings and contact local tax authorities to resolve filing issues.
• Ensuring payroll compliance with audit procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and auditing departments.
• Identify, develop, and implement process improvements within the payroll function.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Payroll Operations, including vendor management for various countries.
• Master’s degree in: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• Understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws and compliance requirements
• Ability to work individually as well as part of a team,
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in English
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model from a Cracow-based office
