What will you be doing?

• Your will contribute, and Entry and review of the weekly, bi-weekly or monthly payroll time data as required, employee maintenance, tax information, direct deposit, new hire, terminated and any other current employee processing. Also including processing end to end payroll.
• Coordinate with Human Resource Department personnel on the timely and accurate updating of employee master file changes in Workday. HR system when discrepancies or errors found. Handle interfaces and reports between Workday HR and local payroll systems.
• You should be able to explain pay slips to employees in terms of taxation, social contributions and other pay items. Audit payroll data entry and employee status changes to ensure accuracy prior to payroll execution.
• You will participate in internal and external trainings to keep up to date with the most recent legal changes within the countries in scope.
• Ensure timely, accurate administration of employee garnishments, insurances and taxes, ensuring proper withholding and remittance to appropriate agencies and authorities.
• Work as cross-functional team member on projects related to system upgrades for Workday, local Payroll and Time & Attendance systems. Handle employee's cases through Service Now to provide accurate resolution in agreement with the established SLAs.
• Lead or participate in Continuous improvement and Data Analytics initiatives

What will you need to be successful?

• Education: Bachelor's or equivalent experience or Master’s degree in Finance.
• Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience processing India payroll.
• Thorough knowledge of Income Tax calculation & returns filing (Quarterly & Annual) for India Payroll.
• Sound knowledge of STAT Compliances (PF, PT, MLWF & ESIC).
• Knowledge of ESOP & PERK. Good knowledge of Excel.
• Advance Excel knowledge preferred.
• Good communication, collaboration, and relationship building and collaborator engagement skills.
