Payroll Specialist

About the Role

How you will contribute

• Responsible for Time and Attendance system - ADP Etime
• Audit timesheet to ensure wages are properly distributed.
• Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll. Uses automated system to produce accurate and timely weekly, bi-weekly, and off-cycle payrolls.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws and maintains current knowledge of the same.
• Prepares and process voluntary and involuntary deductions such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions.
• Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management.
• Run and review payroll reports for accuracy and contact various location personnel for clarification when needed. Import and export interface files.
• Facilitates management and employee understanding of payroll procedures.
• Recommends best practices, develops procedures and documents processes.
• Works closely with the Payroll Team, HR at the site locations, Accounting and many other department heads.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

• Education - Associate degree or equivalent job experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
• SAP experience - minimum 2 years preferred but not required.
• Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Experience with ADP -Time and attendance, PTO module and attendance module.
