Payroll Specialist

Wold Architects and Engineers, a dynamic, growth-oriented architectural and engineering firm with headquarters in downtown St. Paul, seeks a Payroll Specialist to become a part of our accounting team. This role is a Full-Time, exempt and benefit eligible position.

Responsibilities:

• Running monthly payroll for 250+ employees in MN, IL, TN and CO using UltiPro (UKG) Software
• Assist in processing/enrolling of employee benefits paperwork
• Maintaining accuracy of all employee data in payroll system
• Process and audit hires, status changes, terminations, tax and direct deposit changes
• Assist with project of scanning current personnel files to paperless personnel files
• Reconciling payroll related general ledger accounts
• Creates and processes accounts payable payroll related items after each payroll issue. Processes and creates check requests for payroll invoices generated each payroll.
• Prepare, enter, review and post payroll general ledger transactions
• Other general payroll and accounting functions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree preferred, minimum 2+ years payroll experience
• Knowledge of federal and state compensation laws and general employment practices
• Microsoft Suite experience with expertise in excel spreadsheets
• Ability to learn and utilize new technology
• High level of confidentiality of sensitive information
• Must be extremely accurate and have a highly developed orientation to detail
• Customer service mindset
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually
• Previous UltiPro (UKG) or other HRIS system experience is a plus
