Payroll Specialist
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Running monthly payroll for 250+ employees in MN, IL, TN and CO using UltiPro (UKG) Software
- Assist in processing/enrolling of employee benefits paperwork
- Maintaining accuracy of all employee data in payroll system
- Process and audit hires, status changes, terminations, tax and direct deposit changes
- Assist with project of scanning current personnel files to paperless personnel files
- Reconciling payroll related general ledger accounts
- Creates and processes accounts payable payroll related items after each payroll issue. Processes and creates check requests for payroll invoices generated each payroll.
- Prepare, enter, review and post payroll general ledger transactions
- Other general payroll and accounting functions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, minimum 2+ years payroll experience
- Knowledge of federal and state compensation laws and general employment practices
- Microsoft Suite experience with expertise in excel spreadsheets
- Ability to learn and utilize new technology
- High level of confidentiality of sensitive information
- Must be extremely accurate and have a highly developed orientation to detail
- Customer service mindset
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually
- Previous UltiPro (UKG) or other HRIS system experience is a plus
