Payroll Specialist
Job Description
Our client, located in the Northern Virginia area, is looking for a contract to hire payroll specialist to start immediately. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' payroll experience, full cycle processing for over 500 employees.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for over 500 employees utilizing Costpoint/ADP
- Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll
- Maintain and document payroll records
- Utilize Costpoint T&E
- Conduct semi-annual audits of all payroll records
- Reconcile general ledger with regard to payroll transactions
- Detect and process issues related to uncollected payroll
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns

Qualifications:
- BS Degree in accounting would be a plus
- Minimum 3 years' payroll experience
- Experience in Costpoint and ADP
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Good communication skills - written and verbal
