Payroll Specialist

The Finance Team at Zoox is currently looking for a Payroll Specialist. In this role, you would manage end-to-end payroll processes for a scaling company. You will demonstrate a broad range of domain knowledge, a keen eye for detail, an ability to multitask, and a strong interest in process improvement.

In this role, you will:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing from data entries and timecard validations to check distributions.
• Be the point of contact for employees’ payroll questions and concerns.
• Conduct quarterly and year-end reconciliations and assist the Senior Payroll Manager and Finance team with audit support.
• Respond to government inquiries, including wage verification and garnishment orders.
• Conduct benefit audits, review and validate leave of absence payments, and coordinate with 3rd party vendors when needed.
• Partner cross-functionally with People, Benefits, Finance, and other teams as appropriate.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of end-to-end payroll administration, including Federal and State payroll regulations.
• Experience with Workday as a payroll platform and are proficient in Excel.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, as well as an eye for the details.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality.

Bonus Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• HR or Accounting background.

Location

This hybrid role entails working in the office three days per week in our Foster City office (HQ). 

Compensation

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $102,000 to $144,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
