About the Position

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to help our team with coordinating payroll in our New York office. This role sits within our New York Accounting team, but will work very closely with our Global Payroll teams and Workday team.

In this role, you will assist with the timely preparation and accurate payroll processing for our growing New York office. This includes providing friendly customer service to colleagues and responding to any payroll questions they might have. 

You’ll also work closely with HR and other internal teams to ensure all tax reporting, benefits-records administration, and payroll issues are handled accurately and responsibly.

Additional responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Preparing updates to payroll records, monitoring changes in compensation, and completing month-end, quarterly, and annual processes
  • Assisting with monthly payroll reports, reconciliations, and review of year-end tax forms
  • Providing support during audits
  • Maintaining payroll and internal control procedures
  • Keeping up with best practices and current payroll laws and regulations
  • Recommending ways to improve and automate payroll processes

About You
  • 2+ years of payroll experience or other relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Eager to learn; intellectually curious
  • Handles sensitive information with good judgment and discretion
  • Can work proactively and handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with Workday HR and Payroll is a plus
  • Fluency in English required
