Process payroll, maintaining time keeping records, reviewing payroll and payroll reports for accuracy on a weekly basis.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Review and auditing timesheets to confirm hours are accurate and approved
- Inputs, processes, and maintain efficient payroll and tax data in the payroll system for hourly and salaried employees.
- Process and execute payments and paychecks weekly
- Prepares, analyzes, and reviews payroll reports to produce payroll funding requests, deposit taxes, and distribute deductions withheld for each payroll period.
- Calculates earnings and maintains withholding status and deductions to process the payroll, including complex exception items such paid time off, terminations, and tax adjustments.
- Prepare periodic payroll reconciliation and submit reports to payroll manager for review
- Performs duties relating to the day-to-day maintenance and operation of the payroll system.
- Responds to employee and managers inquiries to resolve payroll challenges.
- Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's Degree
- 2 years of applicable automated and manual payroll processing experience
- Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal working relationship with both internal (including management) and external contacts.
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must demonstrate initiative and cooperation.
- Must have strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Total minimum number of years of experience required in lieu of degree
- 5 years of applicable automated and manual payroll processing experience.
- Must possess good knowledge of company policies and procedure, and standard office procedures. Must have a general knowledge of Federal and state payroll tax regulations.
- Must have up to date knowledge of Federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Working knowledge of Kronos timekeeping system and modern Human Capital Management systems (e.g., Workday, ), and Microsoft Office environment.
- Ability to learn basic functions in other related software applications.
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must demonstrate initiative and cooperation.
- Must have good organizational skills and be able to prioritize work load, handle multiple task simultaneously, and meet deadlines while maintaining quality and quantity work with a high degree of accuracy

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Office environment demands including frequent speaking both in person and over the phone; writing, reading files, reports and PC screen. Prolonged sitting at computer terminal. Regular vision concentration for reading and checking reports, forms and data entry.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Typical office environment with low levels of noise and fumes, adequate lighting and comfortable temperature. Use of 10-Key, computer, scanner, fax.
