Job Summary:
As a Payroll Specialist is primarily responsible for processing payroll and maintaining the employee database regarding salary and pay. This position will report to the Senior AP & Payroll Specialist.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:
β Responsible for processing semi-monthly and off cycle payroll for non-exempt and exempt employees
β Process new hires, terminations, leave of absence, employee changes, bonuses and merit increase in the PEO systems
β Validate and process employee timesheets for appropriate approvals and follow up as needed to ensure approvals are processed in a timely manner
β Prepare and maintain payroll reports, payroll accounting files and timekeeping records
β Handle all payroll inquiries
β Prepare audit schedules related to payroll
β Perform monthly payroll reconciliations
β Prepare and upload payroll journal entries into QuickBooks
β Calculate sales commissions and maintain commission records
β Perform credit card and bank reconciliations
β Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
β Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Required Skills/Abilities:
β Previous experience with Insperity or other PEO payroll system
β Experience with MS Excel including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups
β Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
β Ability to verbally communicate complex and detailed information in a clear and concise manner
β Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
β Knowledge of end-to-end payroll administration
β Team player with strong communication, customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills.
β Communicate with employees and others in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining strict confidentiality of all information
Education/Experience:
β Five years of payroll processing experience
β Associate's or bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred
Physical Requirements:
β Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
β Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Other Requirements:
β Candidate preferably located in the Bay Area or within driving distance of Foster City Headquarters.
β This role is 95% remote. 5% is on call basis for office visit.
Salary Range:
β $52.00/hour (Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.)
