Role Summary

We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to innovate, win and grow with us in Portsmouth, NH! 

As a member of the Payroll Operations team, you will support by assisting with accurate and timely preparation, documentation, and distribution of the Company’s North American payrolls via the payroll system. Performs all activities necessary to process payrolls, including maintaining related records, auditing timekeeping records, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, documenting and updating standard operating procedures and processes and preparing ad-hoc reports for management. The Payroll Specialist will gain exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.

How you’ll contribute:

• Assist with the accurate and efficient processing of the Company’s North American, multi-jurisdiction payrolls (US and Canada)
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports
  • Process, validate, and distribute committed payroll reports
  • Gather payroll data for employment verifications, involuntary deductions, and other financial statements
  • Audit and maintain timekeeping records, ensuring compliance with established standards and local laws
  • Perform analysis with large data sets, audits, reconciliations, v-lookups, data edits and calculations.
  • Resolve and respond to inquiries regarding pay and timesheets
  • Maintain the following employee database: Ceridian Dayforce
  • Support Global Payroll Operations as needed 
  • Must be self-motivated, able to work independently to set and accomplish goals, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Acute attention to detail, well organized, and effective time management skills
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
  • Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality
  • High degree of professionalism is a must
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments in a fast-paced and energetic environment
  • Participate in company-wide planning of activities and initiatives

What will make you successful:

• Associate’s degree, or equivalent work experience in Payroll
  • Knowledge of various benefit concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of various payroll concepts, practices and procedures
  • Ceridian Dayforce experience is a plus
