Job Description

Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking a Payroll Specialist to perform all payroll related tasks for semi-monthly payroll processing. The individual in this role will have the ability to investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and regulations.

The position is located in Meridian, Idaho. Hybrid work schedule is supported. #LI-Hybrid

To be considered for this opportunity, you have the following:

Experience: 2 years (for level II) or 4 years (for level III) corporate payroll processing experience

Specific Qualifications Needed:
  • Microsoft Excel - Intermediate level
  • Effective communication and people skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to works under moderate supervision

We'd also love it if you had:
  • Workday Payroll experience
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)

Here's what your day may look like:
  • Process payroll in accordance with company, state, local and federal policies
  • Process year-end W-2's
  • Perform payroll account reconciliations
  • Respond to internal and external customers regarding payroll related matters
  • Assist with various audits and special projects, as requested by management
  • Researches and prepares information required for analysis of payroll operations.
  • Prepares reports in conformance with regulatory requirements or company needs.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.
  • Ensure compliance with all required regulations and may monitor payroll legislative developments.
  • May act as backup to one or more processes.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
