Accountabilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time in compliance with country-specific regulations, statutory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Manage full payroll cycles including validation of inputs, calculations, reconciliations, and post-payroll activities.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Polish payroll, staying current on legislative, tax, and compliance updates.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless payroll execution across multiple stakeholders.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies while escalating risks and complex issues when needed.
  • Support implementation of payroll services in new or expanding jurisdictions, ensuring operational readiness.
  • Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Maintain and improve payroll documentation, controls, and operational knowledge bases.
  • Participate in testing and validation of payroll systems, updates, and workflow changes.
  • Requirements:

    • 5+ years of experience in payroll operations, preferably in mid-to-senior roles.
    • Hands-on experience managing full-cycle payroll in Poland, including statutory compliance and reporting.
    • Experience working in multi-country or global payroll environments.
    • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax frameworks, reconciliations, and payroll controls.
    • Familiarity with payroll systems and tools, including R2PÅ‚atnik (Symfonia) or similar platforms.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and external stakeholders in a remote, distributed environment.
    • Strong communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
    • Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving operational environments with a focus on ownership and accountability.
    • Experience with automation tools or AI-enabled workflows is highly valued.
    • Benefits:

      • Fully remote, global work environment
      • Flexible working hours with async-first culture
      • Competitive salary aligned with global payroll market standards
      • Stock options participation
      • Generous paid time off
      • 16 weeks paid parental leave
      • Learning and professional development budget
      • Home office and equipment stipend
      • Mental health and wellness support services
      • Opportunities to contribute to global payroll transformation and automation initiatives
