Payroll Tax Administrator (Temp)
Job Description
We are seeking a temporary Payroll Tax Administrator to support payroll tax and payment-related activities through UKG Pro Payment Services Gateway (PSG). This role will focus on execution, tracking, and issue resolution related to tax filings, payments, notices, and wage attachments.
The role primarily supports U.S. payroll tax activity, with limited Canada payroll tax support in partnership with existing providers and internal teams. Canada experience is helpful but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Tax & Payment Services
- Support payroll tax filings and payments via UKG Payment Services Gateway
- Monitor PSG dashboards for tax filings, payments, and exceptions
- Assist with tax notices, amendments, and authorization tracking
- Reconcile payroll tax payments and filing confirmations
- Track and support resolution of payroll tax inquiries and discrepancies
Wage Attachments & Employee Pay
- Monitor wage attachment (garnishment) disbursements in PSG
- Maintain accurate tracking of actions taken and pending items
Canada Payroll Tax (Supported Scope)
- Assist with Canada payroll tax inquiries and tracking as needed
- Coordinate with internal partners and external providers on remittances
- Support documentation and issue tracking (no independent filing ownership)
Case Management & Documentation
- Open and track UKG Payment Services cases as needed
- Maintain logs of open issues, status, and resolution timelines
- Ensure documentation is retained for audit and compliance purpose
- Manage jurisdiction portal access tracking to support timely payroll tax issue resolution.
Controls & Compliance
- Follow established payroll controls and procedures
- Support audit readiness through proper documentation and tracking
- Escalate risks, delays, or recurring issues to payroll leadership
- 1–2 years of payroll or payroll tax administration experience
- Experience working in UKG Pro Payroll (Payment Services preferred)
- Basic understanding of federal, state, and local payroll taxes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in Excel (tracking, reconciliations)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to wage attachments / garnishments
- Prior experience supporting payroll tax notices
- Familiarity with Canada payroll tax concepts (nice to have)
- Experience working in a SOX-controlled or audit environment
- Exposure to payroll implementations or clean-up projects
Additional Notes
- This role does not process payroll or calculate pay
- Focus is on tax execution, tracking, and issue resolution
- Canada payroll tax support is collaborative and supported
Pay Transparency: $35/hr (no benefits)
Length: 30-90 days, with potential to extend
This is a part-time, temporary role that is based on-site.
