Payroll/HR AdministratorÂ
Role SummaryÂ
Our client seeks a Payroll/HR Administrator to join their rapidly growing team. The Payroll/HR Administrator assists with Payroll processing using Workday and administers pre-employment, onboarding, and offboarding. The ideal candidate knows payroll law compliance and reporting requirements and multi-state taxation experience requirements. The Payroll/HR Administrator reports to the HR/Payroll Director.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
PayrollÂ
-
Review and reconcile information in the payroll register such as deductions, hires, changes, terminations, 401 K, etc. as accurate and ready for approvalÂ

Assist in maintaining payroll records and backup as needed, responsible for payroll folder and upkeepÂ
-
Provide Workday support and be the expert for employeesÂ
-
Run or prepare weekly and monthly reports for accounting and management; these reports include custom reports and TWCÂ
-
Review and reconcile all payroll tax for accuracy and open new state accounts as neededÂ

Manage the state accounts folder and keep logging credentialsÂ
-
When necessary, assist in processing bi-weekly payrolls accurately and on time per the companyâs established guidelines and standardsÂ
Human ResourcesÂ

Manage the pre-employment and onboarding processÂ

Ensure the Workday hiring process is up to date with the required approvalsÂ
-
Manage Sterling Solutions for background checks, drug screens, and MVRsÂ
-
Conduct new employee orientationÂ
-
Maintain employee records and HRIS system to ensure accuracy and complianceÂ
-
Work with the team to maintain job descriptions and ensure all new hires have a job description assignedÂ
-
Manage off-boarding process, working with Fleet, IT, and accounting for company access and propertyÂ
-
Manage exit survey and report weekly analytics for headcount reportÂ
-
Post communication internally and externallyÂ
-
Process state unemployment claimsÂ
-
Assist the team with other projects as neededÂ
Skills & QualificationsÂ
-
Three years or more of experience in full-cycle payroll processing and talent acquisitionÂ
-
Strong Workday background (recruiting, reporting, payroll, HCM)Â
-
Proficient computer and data entry skillsÂ
-
Strong analytical and time management skillsÂ
-
Previous experience in benefits administration

Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour lawsÂ
-
Must adhere to a high level of ethical and confidentiality of information standardsÂ
-
High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office ApplicationsÂ
-
Must be extremely detail-orientated with excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracyÂ
-
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsÂ

Bilingual in Spanish is a plusÂ
