Job Summary: eMed is seeking a PBM Specialist/Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing our GLP-1 medication weight management program by working directly with pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs). This position requires an experienced executive from the pharmacy benefit space with expertise in pharmacy benefit design and pharmacy claim processing and settlement as well as excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving participant outcomes through innovative healthcare solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:Â Lead and oversee the strategic direction and operational management of the pharmacy benefit management (PBM) department.
- Pharmacy Claim Processing:Â Drive initiatives to enhance and optimize pharmacy claim processing and settlement operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Benefit Design:Â Design, implement, and manage comprehensive pharmacy benefit programs, aligning them with organizational goals and market trends.
- Supply Chain Management:Â Oversee and integrate the pharmacy supply chain processes, ensuring seamless operations from procurement to distribution.
- System Integration:Â Lead system integration efforts, ensuring that technology platforms effectively support pharmacy operations and claim processing.
Qualifications:
- Experience:Â A minimum of 10 years in an executive role within the Pharmacy Benefit space, with a strong focus on pharmacy claim processing, benefit design, and settlement.
- Industry Knowledge:Â Advanced understanding of the pharmaceutical claim processing market, including regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Technical Expertise:Â Proficiency in pharmacy supply chain management and system integration.
- Leadership Skills:Â Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive organizational change, and influence at all levels.
- Education:Â Bachelorâs degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) is preferred.
