ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve clients and assist producers in analyzing and placing insurance and other risk transfer programs.
  • Review contracts related to client business for risk transfer issues and provide informed advice to clients.
  • Coordinate the transfer of risk to insurers or other risk transfer mechanisms and interact with clients in order to understand needs and tolerance for risk.
  • Obtain and analyze information from existing or prospective clients as necessary to provide guidance and recommendations.
  • Engage with insurers (domestically and, as required, internationally) to enable the effective transfer of client risk and to obtain market intelligence.
  • Travel by car or air, domestically and internationally, to visit clients and insurers.
  • Assist in preparation and delivery of presentations to existing or prospective clients that illustrate services.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Broad knowledge of such fields as risk management, insurance brokerage or placement, insurance marketing, business administration, finance, accounting or related business experience.
  • Four years of college, plus 5-10 years' relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSAppropriate insurance licenses in each state where business is being solicited or serviced. Industry certifications recommended.
