Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve clients and assist producers in analyzing and placing insurance and other risk transfer programs.
Review contracts related to client business for risk transfer issues and provide informed advice to clients.
Coordinate the transfer of risk to insurers or other risk transfer mechanisms and interact with clients in order to understand needs and tolerance for risk.
Obtain and analyze information from existing or prospective clients as necessary to provide guidance and recommendations.
Engage with insurers (domestically and, as required, internationally) to enable the effective transfer of client risk and to obtain market intelligence.
Travel by car or air, domestically and internationally, to visit clients and insurers.
Assist in preparation and delivery of presentations to existing or prospective clients that illustrate services.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Broad knowledge of such fields as risk management, insurance brokerage or placement, insurance marketing, business administration, finance, accounting or related business experience.
Four years of college, plus 5-10 years' relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSAppropriate insurance licenses in each state where business is being solicited or serviced. Industry certifications recommended.
