PCBA Quality Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) Quality Inspector for a contract position. This role involves inspecting printed circuit board assemblies to ensure they meet our company's quality standards and comply with all relevant industry regulations and guidelines. The successful candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of PCBA and a keen eye for spotting defects and inconsistencies.

On a given day at Lunar, you’ll likely…

• Inspect PCBA units to ensure adherence to quality and functionality standards.
• Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications using precise measuring instruments.
• Identify and document defects and inconsistencies, including soldering defects, component placement errors, and other quality issues.
• Review and interpret assembly instructions, assembly drawings, and work orders.
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records.
• Report inspection findings and make necessary recommendations.
• Comply with safety and environmental regulations in the workplace.

Desired Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related field preferred.
• Experience in PCB or PCBA inspection; IPC-A-610 certification is required.
• Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, including soldering, component placement, and testing procedures.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electronic schematics and diagrams.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as IPC, ISO, and others.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong ability to spot defects and inconsistencies.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to move parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.

Our Compensation Philosophy: Our goal is to ensure that all Lunar Energy employees are fairly compensated. Please note that the hourly range information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position provided pursuant to the Pay Transparency for Pay Equity Act for California applicants. The hourly pay range estimate for this position depending on level of experience is: $25 - $45 USD.

The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package & benefits, will be at the company’s sole discretion, and determined by factors including but not limited to years of experience, job level, geographic location, and other relevant business considerations.
