Job Summary:
The Post Certification Service FIR Team Lead is responsible for managing day-to-day tasks required to provide timely resolution of factory inspection nonconformance's as documented in the Factory Inspection Report (FIR). The team lead will lead the FIR team as well as actively participate in all tasks including processing of Factory Inspection Report (FIR) nonconformance follow-ups from client contact, quoting stage to project completion. Processes suspension warnings, suspensions and certificate delisting when applicable. Frequent interactions with both internal and external stakeholders including Operations, Inspections, Commercial Unit, Quality Assurance teams and Customers. Ensures delivery of these services are consistent with, and in support of, corporate and divisional policies and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manages day-to-day operations of the PCS FIR team. Ensures all aspects of the services delivered meet divisional and corporate policies and procedures.
- Determines and initiates actions required to improve service delivery efficiency and quality.
- Extensive networking with global CU and Operations.
- Manages suspensions and delisting’s for FIR nonconformance's which are not progressing to a timely resolution or are identified as significant risk to CSA.
- Manages all aspects of the FIR Centra Application for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Manages distribution and provides oversight of FIR work to direct employees in the team.
- Develops monthly management reports. Provides regular information on the FIR group’s productivity, customer satisfaction, and safety as requested by the Manager.
- Manages employees directly and indirectly by providing direction and leadership within FIR team. Develops and assigns performance/productivity goals and monitors the efficiency levels of staff.
- Approves employee vacation and expense accounts as appropriate.
- Manages and resolves customer issues concerning FIR nonconformance findings on a regular basis, varying from operational, delivery, understanding of process, to pricing.
- Responds to general questions; provides technical assistance, discusses and resolves issues around quoting and project completion.
- Daily review and responses to all incoming emails into the PCS.FIR inbox.
- Conducts regular FIR team meetings and continually develops employee engagement.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to improve policies and/or processes.
- Ensures that corporate and divisional procedures and guidelines are well understood.
- Improve efficiencies within the FIR team by utilizing the knowledge of various subject matter experts within the organization.
- Capable of using, and teaching others how to use relevant CSA Group systems to manage work force and processes (e.g. Centra, Kimble, CSA Connect, SharePoint, MS Teams, Workday etc..).
- Collaborates with Operations Managers, Product Group Managers and Team Leads to ensure efficient and timely execution of certification update projects related to FIR nonconformance's.
- Accountable for timely completion of all safety training for the FIR team as directly by the HSSE team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or technology.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of business experience in operations and good understanding of Testing, Inspections and Certification business model.
- Thorough knowledge of CSA certification and Standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required.
- Strong conflict resolution skills to deal with internal stake holders and customer issues.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and fluent in operating in Salesforce.Â
